Those who are passionate and love colourful paintings that bring joy and tears are true admirers of the works of Eileen Duffy. After all, nature has been her master.
Her work is impressionistic in its implementation, It’s cheerful and pleasing to the eye. The use of delicate palette knife strokes gives it depth and texture. Eileen has been a dedicated and passionate painter whose inspiration and ability now come to her very naturally.
Eileen has been more than a creator of beautiful canvas paintings. Her myriad of commissioned wall murals and paintings can be found in many countries such as Spain, Canada, Ireland, USA, and The Dominican Republic. Most of these works were created from only imagination and memory.
After putting endless effort into seeking out tutorials, learning the fundamentals of art and practicing her painting skills as a young adult, Eileen then decided to pursue her natural flair for painting.
Over the years Eileen found creative inspiration by studying the works of other painters, reveling in the simplicity and beauty of nature, observing all that surrounds us and studying it in-depth and most of all devoted daily practice.
She has shared her experience and know-how with many students over the years in Canada and now in Ireland. Some of her dedicated students have been painting with her through the years and have continued to flourish in their own work. Eileen’s favorite medium at the moment is oil paints, but she also is very skilled in watercolor and acrylic paints.
She continues to give art classes on a weekly basis in her home and would love to welcome anyone who wishes to explore their twinkle of creativity. Eileen's personal approach to teaching is in her strong passion to explore and nurture the imagination and creativity of every student. In her small intimate classes, she is able to work with each student individually making sure they get the most from their training while also keeping her classes relaxed, enjoyable and fun.
